Eurolls has been awarded funding under the Regional FESR FVG Programme, co-financed by the European Union, to support a Research & Development project focused on innovation in rolling processes.

The project is aimed at the development of innovative coatings for high-performance rolling rolls, through the use of advanced thin-film technologies based on Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) and its variants.

The objective is to enhance roll performance by improving wear resistance, operational stability, and overall service life, with a direct impact on production efficiency.

Project activities will include:

• optimization of materials and production processes
• development of new technological prototypes
• validation in real industrial environments

This achievement represents a further step in Eurolls’ innovation path, confirming the company’s ongoing commitment to developing high value-added technological solutions for the rolling industry.

The project involves a total eligible investment of €405,861.00, with a public contribution of €141,685.05, co-financed also by European Union funds.
