From forming to sizing, Eurolls develops rolls and components for each mill section, contributing to the quality and geometry of the finished product.
Final tube quality depends on the balance between all sections of the mill. Every roll performs a specific function, contributing to the progressive transformation of the strip until the required dimensions and geometry are achieved.
Forming rolls gradually shape the flat strip, distributing deformation and preparing the edges for the next stages. In the fin-pass section, rolls refine the profile and edge alignment, controlling the closing angle and the stability of the weld “V”. Weld rolls then hold the edges in the correct position as they are joined.
After welding, sizing rolls bring the tube to the specified dimensions and tolerances. Turk’s heads correct tube straightness and, in configurations designed for shaped tubes, help achieve the final geometry.
The result depends on these sections working together: each roll profile must suit its function and work in coordination with the other tooling throughout the mill.
Eurolls designs and manufactures rolls and components for every stage of the process, selecting geometries and materials according to the tube being produced and the mill’s operating conditions. This tailored approach supports manufacturers in controlling product geometry, maintaining process stability and ensuring production continuity.
