By taking advantage of the experience that it has gained over 30 years in the sector of cold rolling of special materials, Eurolls has decided to invest in “high technology” coating installations. This was possible, thanks to the collaboration effort between Eurolls engineers and the most accredited International Research Institutes in Italy.

INCREASE OF HARDNESS
The increase in surface hardness generally leads to benefits in terms of wear resistance. Different degrees of hardness can be reached depending on the type of treatment or coating.
LOW ROUGHNESS AND FRICTION COEFFICIENT
A good surface roughness and a reduced friction coefficient improve the mutual flow of the materials and consequently increase their life.
HIGH RESISTANCE TO CORROSION AND OXIDATION
In some environmental conditions the resistance to corrosion and oxidation that contribute to the wear of the components is fundamental.
HIGHER WEAR RESISTANCE
There are different types of wear, abrasive, fatigue, adhesive, corrosive etc., for each application the best coating is studied in order to counteract the related wear phenomenon.
INSULATION
Electrical insulation is one of the characteristics that can be reached with particular coatings, and which therefore make it possible to insulate an object made of non-insulating material.
HEAT RESISTANCE
Thermal insulation is an important property in high temperature applications where, together with normal wear phenomena, degradation due to corrosive conditions at high temperatures is combined.
BIO COMPATIBILITY
The use of coatings with bio-compatible materials allows the application of such coatings in medical and food fields.
ANTI-BONDING PROPERTIES
This property is fundamental in particular applications in which the materials in contact may have bonding phenomena, therefore in applications such as hot pressing, plastics molding and lamination coatings are used which reduce this characteristic.
